Our top Kids books for 3 and under !

We buy and read so many books in this house ! Even before Noah was born we had a little book collection waiting for him ! He loves books and will not go to sleep at night without at least one story , Emilia often wakes at night asking for a book to be read ( which is cute at 9 pm but not so cute at 4 am ! ) We buy so many books for Christmas as they are really a gift that keeps on giving ! My favourite memories at Christmas are of unwrapping beautiful books , I think my favourite was Mallory Towers ( Enid Blyton ) and The Secret Seven ( also Enid Blyton ! ) to this day the smell of a new books is my favourite thing ! We have so many fab favourites that would make great presents for your own kids or any other smallies in your life !

  • Little People Big Dreams Series – These books are BEAUTIFUL , Emilia has the Coco Chanel and Maya Angelou books from this series , they are written in a very child friendly way , have the most beautiful illustrations  and they are so different to the normal books that are directed at kids ! We read these to her nearly every night and she often points to the Coco Chanel book for us to read it to her ( girl after my own heart ! ) Santa will be bringing her 2 more from the Series for Christmas . These are available in all good online bookshops – Book Depository being the cheapest ( at the time of this Blog Publication )

  • Dr Seuss Collection – These books are well loved in our house with Oh the places You’ll go being one of the favourite ones with both kids and mommy 😉 They are beautifully written , funny and the illustrations are perfect ( can you tell I like a good illustration 😀 ) These can be bought in a collection as well so would make a fab present ! They vary in price depending on where you buy so my advice is to shop around !

  • Dinosaurs are a pretty big hit here right now with both kids just loving to sit down and read all about them ! We have many favourites but the one that would make the most amazing present is The National Geographic First Big Book f Dinosaurs ! The national geographic books are awesome and so detailed ! These are available in any bookshop or on Amazon !

  • The ” That’s not my ” series ! Emilia loves these books so much ! We have a few of these and I have it on good authority that Santa will have a few hidden in his pile 😉 I like the touch and feel part of these books , it is a great way of teaching kids about different textures ! There are so many in this collection and they are easily found in any book seller including Tesco !

When it comes to kids book I could recommend books all day , I think it is so important to get your kids into reading , even if they just sit there and pull at the pages while you read , just know that you are giving your kids a great start in life !

What are your kids favourites ?
